Description of the series:

The 3rd German IPv6 Summit will take place in Potsdam on June 24-25, 2010. Hosted by the Hasso-Plattner-Institute, the German IPv6 Summit provides a forum in which overseas, European, and German experts are addressing various aspects of IPv6 technology at work. The first day includes talks about the IPv6 strategy and deployment status worldwide, with keynotes from high-ranking representatives of government, industry, and research. In the evening, the winners of the International IPv6 Application Contest 2010 will receive their awards in a festive ceremony, followed by a gala dinner at the legendary Sanssouci Palace in Potsdam. Day two will complement the program by addressing IPv6 security-related topics, covering perspectives ranging from end users to service/content providers, including the presentation of new and innovative IPv6 software and hardware applications.

The 3rd German IPv6 Summit is organized by the Hasso-Plattner-Institute at the University of Potsdam in close collaboration of the German IPv6 Council, the national chapter of the International IPv6 Forum. The German IPv6 Council has been established to bring together the different actors in industry, research, politics, and administration in the IPv6 field in Germany with a clear mission to advocate IPv6 by improving technology, market, and deployment, and raise user and industry awareness of IPv6. ,The goal is to create a high-quality and secure new Internet Generation. The conference language is German with simultaneous translation in English. In addition to the conference program we offer a half-day 'Hands-on' IPv6-Tutorial on June 25th, 2010 (in German language only) (see below for further information).
