Description of the series:
The workshop provides a forum for academics and practitioners that share an interest in business process modeling using the Business Process Modeling Notation. Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) experiences huge uptake in both academia and industry. It is seen by many as the de-facto standard for business process modeling. It has become very popular with business analysts, tool vendors, practitioners, and end users. BPMN promises to bridge business and IT and brings process design and implemented closer together.
To fulfill its promise, a number of research questions have to be tackled. Papers on ongoing and completed research, state of the art surveys, and reports on practical application and empirical findings are invited. Studies on the transfer of research findings obtained for other process modeling languages to BPMN are encouraged.
