Description of the series:
Im Rahmen einer hochkarätig besetzten Informatikkonferenz zeichnen die bedeutendsten deutschen Kollegen in einem Fachvortrag die wichtigsten Linien der wissenschaftlichen Entwicklung und Erfolge in ihrem jeweiligen Fachgebiet in den letzten 10 Jahren. Sie wagen zudem einen Ausblick auf die dort in den kommenden 10 Jahren zu erwartenden wissenschaftlichen Fortschritte.
Für die ganze Informatikwissenschaft in Deutschland bietet die Veranstaltung einen guten „inner“disziplinären Überblick über unsere, sich immer weiter in selbständige Teilgebiete aufspaltende Informatikdisziplin. Zudem befördert sie eine immer wieder notwendige Standortbestimmung.
