Lange Zeit stand die Lehre an den Hochschulen im Schatten der Forschung.
Mittlerweile ist sie indessen zu einem der wichtigsten Themen auf der hoch-
schulpolitischen Agenda avanciert. Der im Jahr 2009 durchgeführte Wettbe-
werb exzellente Lehre der Kultusministerkonferenz und des Stifterverbandes
für die Deutsche Wissenschaft sowie die gemeinsame Initiative der Volks-
wagenStiftung und der Stiftung Mercator "Bologna – Zukunft der Lehre"
haben in diesem Prozess wesentliche Anstöße gegeben.
Im Rahmen dieser Tagung wurde gemeinsam eine erste Zwischenbilanz
gezogen: Was wurde erreicht? Welche Desiderate für die Zukunft bleiben?
Gleichzeitig hatten Preisträgern und Geförderte Gelegenheit, ihre Konzepte
einer breiten Öffentlichkeit vorzustellen und im Dialog Impulse für die
weitere Entwicklung zu bekommen.
