Die ersten von insgesamt 100 Informatik- und Mathematikexperten, die für das geplante „Silicon Sanssouci“ eingestellt werden, hätten ihre Arbeit bereits aufgenommen, sagte Zentrumsleiter Cafer Tosun am Freitag bei der Gründungsfeier in Potsdam. Sie beschäftigen sich in Räumen des Potsdamer Hasso-Plattner-Instituts (HPI) mit Einsatzmöglichkeiten der neuen In-Memory-Technologie von SAP. Gemeint ist die Weiterentwicklung der SAP-Software „Hana 1.0“. Das Ende des vergangenen Jahres auf den Markt gekommene Computerprogramm gilt als revolutionäre Datenbank-Lösung, die Firmen durch sekundenschnelle parallele Verarbeitung von Millionen Kundendatensätzen neue Anwendungsmöglichkeiten eröffnet
