tele-TASK: more than video!

Also this year the project tele-TASK will be at CeBIT. You can find us at the booth of Hasso Plattner Institute in hall 9, booth A34!

In the portal it is possible to write one's own manuscript while watching the video lectures live or on demand. The new functionality includes writing notes in a group. Therefore you first need to create a new group in the My tele-TASK space and invite fellow learners to join the group. Second, in the manuscript interfaces (either reachable via the LIVE WEBCAST or via the FLASH VIDEO page of each lecture) you can choose weather your note is private, public or visible to one of the groups you joined. You will also be able to see the annotations of your fellow learners there.

For a quick overview of the lecture videos the keyword functionality was added. It is possible to view the most important keywords within a video segment gathered from audio and video text data at a glance. Once can also jump to the point within the video where the keyword is used. The keywords can furthermore be explored or searched.

This year, the tele-TASK team is present at the traditional exhibition CeBIT in Hanover. We are in the "greenhouse for new ideas" of the HPI in stand 12 in hall 26 (CeBIT lab) and we present the tele-TASK-recording system and portal. We are here from Tuesday to Saturday and look forward to seeing you!

Our team is supervising a bachelor project called "tele-TASK 4 Kids - integration of tele-TASK in the school day", which deals specifically with the use of tele-TASK in schools. The four students of the bachelor project group have one year to analyze the problem, what special needs exist in the school system and how it can most profitably be met. These ideas are then to be planned and implemented to deploy software. On the basis of the results obtained and theoretical foundations of the development, the students then will write their bachelor thesis.
